Let me start off by saying I really liked this Kitty installment. Kitty's House of Horrors, book 7 in Carrie Vaughn's Kitty Norville series, kicks off with our heroine getting an invitation to appear on a reality show featuring well-known members of the supernatural community. About a dozen particip...

I was worried in the first few chapters that this would be another transition book, but it quickly shifts into exactly the kind of horrible fun than only Kitty can fall into.

So much death in one book. I didn't expect anyone that had been in the books before to die. Ariel, Jeffery. I thought Ariel was truly human. Shouldn't they have let her live? Bigots make no sense sometimes. I'm glad Cormac's out of jail now. I am glad that Tina and Grant lived. Jeffery's death made ...

I was starting to get tired of this series but this book renewed my interest. Maybe because Ben wasn't a major part of it.Kitty agrees to take part in a realty show that features a bunch of Supernatural people and a surprise skeptic. That lets Vaughn revisit many of her characters from previous book...

This book was like Clue for kids. I generally like Carrie Vaughn's work, but this book seems to be filler before the real thing comes out. Quite disappointed.

I wasn't a fan of this one at all, it just seemed like a filler book. Abigail gives it more credit (and a more thorough review) at All Things Urban Fantasy.

Excellent read!! Sort of like AND THEN THERE WERE NONE, only with scary monster types. Kitty is in top form and I liked the return of Odysseus Grant. He's a truly fascinating character. Hey, Carrie, write a book about him!!

A slow start because over half the book takes place before you get to the part that the back cover has already told us will happen (the hunting of the occupants of the house.) Ultimately a good installment in the series, but not nearly as strong as the others.
