Yep, I do like Maeve Binchy. I hate the phrase "guilty pleasure." Binchy's books are usually unalloyed pleasure; no guilt involved. Her characters are wonderful.

Audiobook. Wonderful narration Fionnula Flanagan did a fantastic job. I watched the movie and I have to say even though this is an abridged edition, I liked it more. The ending was kind of empowering where it could have been all sad and heartbroken.
