First up, I love that Ashley wrote an interracial romance where race and prejudice is discussed openly and honestly. I also like modern marriage of convenience stories. I thought the 'falling in love' bit happened a bit too quickly but Ashley did a great job building the sexual tension. When Lexi...

I liked LADY LUCK, but it wouldn't be my favorite book in the series at all. This right at this moment, would be my least favorite in the Colorado Mountain Series. In the beginning of the book, it was actually pretty good and things were moving along, but as soon as we hot Carnal, Colorado I began t...

Kristen Ashely's narration can sometimes really get tedious with details. However, nobody can write a contemporary alpha hero like her. Nobody! I adored this story from start to finish (despite having to skim through some paragraphs of really unnecessary details) and look forward to the next book :)

4.5 stars! Another hit! Sweet Dreams is still in the number 1 slot, but in this one you do get to hear a lot more about Tate, Lauren, Nina, Max and gang from Bubba's and La La Land! Their connections weave together pretty tightly. I seriously want to move to Carnal, Colorado! Some of the subject mat...

The characters were good stuff. Lexie and Ty are hot stuff together. Ms. Ashley doesn't mess around with her romance or her alpha males I'll tell you. The writing was difficult to read in many places, but it had a strong story line. One thing I enjoy about all of Kristen Ashley's book is that the c...

Wow this book got waaaaaaaaaaaay serious, and maybe its because Ty is so serious, but it isn't as light hearted as the previous two in the series. That said, it is y favorite so far, i felt that the emotions, conflict and plot were very very real, and I really enjoyed the book. Ty and Lexi both have...

3 stars: Meh. Really wanted to love this installment because I love the hero, the heroine was... okay, but Nina (The Gamble) is still my favorite (and continues to be awesome in this one too!). I still can't put a pulse on why it didn't work for me, but I figure its the shift in POVs (why can't ever...

5 unnecessary and annoying typos. His for her, grrrr....Ty is hot. big. strong. but he doesn't use his strength for much of anything thru the whole long book. THe main action happens off screen and Ty gets lots of phone calls with lots of long paragraphs of info in which nothing happens to him dir...

This is the third Kristen Ashley book I've read so far and now it's official: I am ABSOLUTELY fan! Like the other two books, the story was all at once emotional, sexy and funny. Though it surprised me first, the change of POV suited the story/plot. Lexy and Ty are hot and, again, the secondary char...
