Lamb tells the tale of Jesus' childhood through the voice of his satirical best friend Biff. While much is already known about Jesus' birth, and his life after he gains popularity in his thirties, little is known about Jesus' childhood, and this is where Biff comes in. Resurrected by an angel who wi...

Surprisingly well-researched, but I thought it'd be funnier. I got the feeling most of the humor was guy-oriented.

Very funny book. It cleared up the missing Christ youth years! Christ (Joshua)and his best friend Levi (aka Biff) tool around Asia in an attempt to learn how to be a Messiah. In the process they experience Buddism, Hindi, interact with Kali worshippers and learn Kung Fu. This is a very lighthear...

At first, I did not like this book. Honestly, I could not get into it and I was really sad because a lot of other people said that this book would be great. I almost gave up, until about 150-200 pages in where it got really interesting for me.I did not like the character of Josh (Jesus) until he bec...

It reminded me SO MUCH of Tom Robbins that I was predisposed to love it immediately (but, in case you’re wondering, not in a bitey way at all). If you’re a Robbins fan, pretend Switters was BFFs with Jesus, and you’ll kind of know what it’s like. The book chronicles the missing periods in the life...

This is easily the funniest thing I've ever read, the literary equivalent of Life of Brian. The main difference was that there was almost as much wisdom here as there was comedy. I defiled my Kindle copy with highlights.

In theory the idea of following Jesus aka Joshua during his early years through the lens of his best friend Biff should lead to some wacky and funny moments. Particularly if Biff is clueless and more than a little juvenile. And it did at times. The explanations around bunnies at Easter and how turn...

Totally irreverent, but one of the most humorous books I've ever read. The book discusses the life of Jesus from the perspective of a resurrected childhood friend, Biff. Biff is tasked with setting the record straight as it were, with telling the "real story" of the life of Jesus. Very tongue and...

Meh. I give up on this one. Maybe it's just because I was trying to read it during the hardest time of my life. Maybe it's because I don't read a lot of light humour. Maybe it's because the Bible references are a bit lost on me. Maybe it's because it kind of seemed like an American version of Monty ...
