This was a good book. I enjoyed Maggie's take on the whole genre. I'm looking forward to seeing where the plot takes the characters in the 2nd book.I really enjoyed the relationship between the two main characters, Luke & Deidrie

Finally! It's nice finding a book about faeries where the protagonist isn’t a half-fey or princess. Deirdre being a cloverhand spiced things up and I found Maggie Stiefvater creating a new approach to the faerie world. The writing style was very insightful and the plot was quite unique compared to o...

Really, where are the half-star ratings? I want to give 2,5!!I like Maggie - as a person (oh, nothing good can come out of that sentence :D). Maggie is funny, geeky and can play the bagpipes. What more can you hope for in a woman? Nothing, amirite? Her blog is made of awesome, she seems to be such a ...

Darker and more adult than Shiver, "Lament" can still boast an exciting plot, well-made prose, and a memorable hero. The plot was good. I liked how clever the lead character Dee was, and how mysterious her love interest Luke was as well. However, i gave this book 4 stars because of the ending. It was kind of abrupt. I'm now reading Ballad...the sequel and I'm hoping to get some answers or something about what happen...

Jury is still out. Well written, great plot, but lots of questions that felt like the answers were forgotten rather than ignored by artistic design. I feel like I'll have to read the sequel before I'll know how I felt about this one.

I’ve been hearing good things about this series for awhile and I finally decided to see what it’s all about. At first I was rolling my eyes a bit at some of the description and the quickness with which certain relationships developed. But then I got sucked into the story and fell in love. Wow. I thi...

Can't wait to start the sequel Ballad: The Gathering of Faerie*****I have been meaning to read this series for a while after hearing good things about it. And I loved Shiver, so I had high hopes, and I'm happy to say this book did not disappoint! Lame...

I truly enjoyed this book. I would say it was a little slow at first- just because it was the first faerie book I've read. So, I totally had reservations reading this book. I thought I was actually going to be able to do a book review blog for teens and NEVER read a vampire or faerie/fey novel. Wh...
