Overlong and far too infused with fights and battles, this third volume of the First Law trilogy was still engaging and entertaining. It deals also with a great deal of political machinations, twists and turns. Enjoyable enough but still a bit disappointing.

As ever with fantasy trilogies, everything I said true of both the first and the second pretty much holds true for this. And now that the actual conclusion is hoving over the horizon, it doesn't have the problem a lot of second books do in feeling like filler. Basically I think if you've got to this...
