I must say that the third book in the series was better than this one but the Last Hellion is charming and interesting. Lydia is a well-drawn character, most amusing and unique. Lydia is not quite a Kelly Lebrock, on account of her badass brains and right hook, but I have to include her because she's so amazing. Super fun, super witty, with a cranky bickering couple that made me laugh.
Loved the heroine in this one. Lydia hit Vere like a ton of bricks. :). What a force of nature she is. Knocked him flat on his butt on first encounter.
