One of the best short stories compilation. The stories fits the main theme yet have enough variation not to bore. I found some new authors I'd like to follow.

Like all anthologies, this was difficult for me to rate because it was all over the map in terms of enjoyment for me.Some standouts both good and bad:I really liked Delia Sherman's titular "Queen Victoria's Book of Spells", which was both an interesting story and a magical world that I would enjoy r...

★★★★½Absolutely fantastic and beautifully written. A deliciously creepy and tragic short story about unrequited infatuation.

★★★★½Oh, Lord Denbury. {le sigh…} The Twisted Tragedy of Miss Natalie Stewart is everything a good sequel should be – more of everything I love about the first book. More excitement, more adventure, more world, more danger, more creepiness, more sinister plots and devious villains, more answers, mo...

I loved all three, but was also pleasantly surprised by Gregory Maguire’s, and liked the Kushner/Stevermer letter game story (though I wanted a whole book there!). The stor...

As much as I loved Natalie and Denbury, I had trouble with the plot of the book. As always, Leanna Renee Heiber writes a beautiful story, but sadly this one just wasn't for me. Full Review to come.

A really good sequel to Darker Still. The Twisted Tragedy of Miss Natalie Stewart picks up right where Darker Still left off. And due to possible spoilers, I will refrain from saying exactly what that is. I was wondering how the series would continue after Darker Still; I couldn't see what could poss...
