Megan has left her home behind and is hoping to forget her past. After answering Caleb Williams's advertisement for a mail order bride, she travels to Wallace, Idaho, eager to be a wife and a stepmother to Caleb's three-year-old daughter.

Caleb Williams is absolutely certain he didn't advertise looking for a wife, and he is not at all happy about the arrival of the beautiful blonde woman who is claiming to be his fiancée.
