SMART, FAST, WITH SHARP EDGES - "Sometimes, you have to get angry to get things done." (Ang Lee)Legend has been on my TBR list for ages, and I kinda feel bad of not reading this earlier than I should have because it was a great read and I enjoyed every minute of it! And just a few words I found for ...

Initial reaction: I'm glad I read this outside of a sea of dystopian reads. While formulaic and short (with a fair share of instalove), I'll admit this entertained me in places, and I'm interested enough to continue with the series. I do wish I'd had more investment in the characters though. I like ...

am I the only one who didn't like this book? i really don't like Dystopians but, this book.. There are so much hype about it. Whenever I ask for book recommendations many people will say "oh gosh, try Legend Trilogy by Marie Lu, it's really amazing!" I did, it was my first time reading a Dystopian b...

Buddy read with Francis and Lisa. I haven’t read many dystopian novels. They just aren’t my thing. I ended up reading this one because Francis insisted that I accompany her plus it was on sale at Amazon. This book is incredibly fast-paced, action-packed and easy to read. It’s also predictable ev...

I wasn't as impressed as I wanted to be....It was enjoyable.....but slow moving. To be honest I only really got into it past the hundred fifty page mark, and that's saying something. Still, it was entertaining enough for me to try and push trough. If you would compare Marie Lu's work to some other d...

Legend -- Marie Lu Book 1 of Legend 2011 Release -- Putnum Juvenile Young Adult, Dystopian, Science Fiction, Romance I had been swaying back and forth between a 4 Star rating and a 3.5 Star rating--which, now that I think about it, is a fairly stupid battle. Because I can’t deny the fact that Le...

I just finished re-reading this with my 11-year old son. It was just as good the second time and my son loved it too. Great dystopian story with a couple of twists. June is a strong female character and Day is a likable rebel. The first book of a great trilogy.

One of the better teen dystopian books I have read lately.
