"Liberating Lacey is one of the best erotic romances I've read in a long time but it is also a book for those who enjoy contemporaryromances...I read the book twice in as many days because I wanted torevisit particular scenes in the story. In rereading it was still asgood as the first time... It's an emotional read with two charactersthat I can fall in love with." -- Jane at Dear Author"I loved that the tension was enormous and based on incendiary sexualattraction and a vast craggy and complex valley of differences betweenthem. ... Sex is not an accessory to the plot of this novel - theirrelationship starts out as a one night stand but they can't get enoughof each other....The tension is thick and the sex is hot and mostimportantly, the characters are believable and real and empathetic." -- Sarah of Smart Bitches Trashy BooksThis is a complex, detailed, absolutely fabulous book. -- The Romance Readers ConnectionThis entire book read so smoothly and showcases their relationship in awonderful progression. This is an erotic book, and the sex scenes areplentiful and long. It is just the perfect blend of sex and storyline. They are woven together so beautifully. And the end - it choked me up.Such a poignant scene. I honestly can't think of anything I didn't likeabout this book. So you know what that means - It's a Smexy Must Read!-- Smexy BooksNewly divorced Lacey Meyers wasted too many years yawning through sex in the missionary position. Now she's looking for a hookup with a man who can make her shatter. What she gets is a hot younger cop with handcuffs...and he's not afraid to use them. Hunter Anderson knows the score--though classy, successful women like Lacey might play with guys like him, at the end of the evening, they walk. But when one night leads to another and then another, he finds himself getting too attached to a woman he can't have. Lacey knows Hunter--gorgeous, hard-edged and eight years younger--won't want anything permanent. No matter how hot and daring he makes her first public sex, quickie, backseat encounter and secret fantasy role-play, she can't mistake adventurous sex for emotional involvement. They both know it's got to end, and soon, or someone's going to get hurt. But can either of them go back to life without the other? Reader Advisory: Lacey's highly erotic "forced" sex fantasy comes true in this book. Lucky her!

3.0 Liberating Lacey
This has a lot of great reviews and I enjoyed it, as well. But, it took me a while to get in to it. And I had a feeling of trepidation throughout almost the entire book. I can't really say why. And Lacey was far too perfect to honestly be relatable.

Opening Line: “She didn’t belong here” Liberating Lacy was a bit of a slow burn for me, unlike a lot of other readers it didn’t grab me right away and initially I just assumed it was going to be all sex and no substance. Maybe it was the terrible cover or the sex starting on page 3 but I had to wo...

★★★Liberating Lacey by Anne CalhounLet's begin with... Who the hell is on the cover of this book? Never once did I get the impression Hunter looked like some cheesy wanna be stripper cop. I am insulted for him at this gross misrepresentation of him. Lacey, not really anything like I imagined, but at...
