Well. That did not end as expected!I felt a little let down. I mean, it's probably a massive cliche, but I wanted to grab Jeff and Kim and just go:That didn't happen...unfortunately! But great book - very reminiscent of The Ghost and the Goth with a little kleptomania thrown in :)

I really did not like this book.  In fact, it was actually a chore to finish.  And if I wouldn't have spent so much time and effort to get the thing on my e-reader (borrowing books from the library that don't go to Kindle needs an instruction manual) and been in the middle of a read-a-thon, I simply...

I really enjoyed reading Life After Theft, it was a unique premise and I hadn’t read anything from Aprilynne Pike previously. The writing style was fantastic and characters growth by the end was fulfilling.Jeff moved from Phoenix to Santa Monica with his parents, they came into money and now Jeff is...

Did not finish.I almost never DNF. This book beat me. It was just awful in every way. Juvenile prose, irritating characters, banal plot, nothing worked at all.

This was surprisingly quite well done! Before reading I was expecting some mindless reading fun (Why thank you, misleading book cover) but the book was actually so much more deeper than that. It doesn't have as much momentum as I would normally prefer but Pike's portrayal of interpersonal relationsh...

Now she thinks...

1.5 StarsLet me start off by saying this book isn't bad and I also never read The Scarlet Pimpernel. Maybe if I had I would have known what I was getting into. This book was just simply not for me. I loved Pike's Wing series, and was hoping this would be just as good, but it was totally different. E...

3.5 So, the whole only one person can see the ghost book has been done, but I enjoyed the plot then and I enjoyed it this go round as well. This one does have the unique twist that the ghost is a rich girl. Who stole. A lot. And Jeff, our main character, the only one around who can see her, is gu...

When I started Life After Theft I thought it was going to be a light beachy sort of read. It was not what I expected and upon finishing something felt off to me. I later found out Life After Theft was meant to be a modern retelling of The Scarlet Pimpernel, a story I’ve never read, and that may be o...
