I remember really loving this movie when I was a wee tween, full of angst and drama. And while I love the magical realism in this book, it is also so filled with deep lady sorrow that it was heartbreaking to read. The women in this book just can't win, and they are destined to stay in the kitchen an...

Wow, fascinating story. Quite fairytale-like at times. Great descriptions of cooking. The mother was definitely a villain.

Wow! I really loved this book. It is so sensual and the food... to imagine the flavors, scents and taste of the meals Tita made... I'm left speechless. Highly recommend this to anyone who is a romantic and believes in the power of love and good food.

Tita, a young Mexican girl, falls in love with Pedro and seems destined for a life of marital bliss except for one problem. Tita is the youngest daughter of the de la Garza family and based on family tradition, she cannot marry because she is responsible for caring for her mother until she dies. B...

I am stunned how fast I finished this considering I was worried about how to get it done by the end of the month, without getting distracted by the other intriguing books in line behind it. However, I was taken pleasantly by surprise.Written in a style new to me, this book takes the whole concept of...
