Lincoln's Dreams is listed as fantasy, but not much fantasy actually happens.... nevertheless intriguing. A solid interesting historical fantasy read. My complete review here on One Breath Books.

A well told story with a compelling background. If you love learning about the US Civil War, this book will grab your attention.

I have really enjoyed every Connie Willis I've read in the past (okay, the two I've read), and so I was disappointed that Lincoln's Dreams was just not as good. It lacked the emotional punch of the stories in Fire Watch, and is far too similar to Passage, which is simply a better book. But Passage re...

The novelist, Broun, has just barely finished a book on the Civil War, and thinks his next book will be about Abraham Lincoln. He is somewhat fixated on analyzing Lincoln's dreams to try to ga...

This is not my favorate of Connie Willis. The chrictors are good. But the story is very sad and I found myself crying several times durring the story and not in a good way. Shes a wonderful story teller but make sure you are alone when you read this one.

Both dealt with time travel. To Say Nothing of the Dog was a fresh book for me and I recommended it toothers. The Doomsday Book, an older book of Willis, was very similar and Idid ...
