I wasn't even sure I would give this five stars. For several days I had to force myself to read it. But something happened and I don't even know how to explain it. Firstly, I am totally enamored of the illustrations. This is huge since I am not a comic book or graphic novel reader. It's definitely t...

Beautifully written, well-developed, and complex, these three short stories made me wish there more. These stories easily managed to have more three-dimensional characters than some novels I've read. I'm definitely going to continue reading work by Taylor, and maybe even reconsider the average ratin...

Read while I was sick, so my memory is kind of blurry, but great fantasy stories. Weird and wonderful and I liked the art very much although I didn't like the way it was all stacked up before each story.Library copy.

The open ending gives it a little bit of a darker feel that was a nice twist.Spicy Little Curses - I kept worrying that this one was...

Don't judge a book by its cover, they say. I'd say that saying's 100% accurate in this case.

Going into this book, I knew it was going to be heavy on fantasy. I like fantasy, but sometimes it's too much. Laini Taylor does a fantastic job with the fantasy in this, but still makes it seem believable. This book (or audio book which is what I have) is three completely different stories, that al...
