This will be very very difficult to review. I'll do my best but i'm not sure if i'll be completely able to...and i'm just sitting here thinking about how i'm going to review this and no words are coming... this is the story of a girl who's abducted by a pervert and what she went through. It's writte...

...Whoa dude.Seriously. This book disturbed me like you wouldn't believe, which is not an easy feat at all. I don't know whether or not I liked it, but I guess you could say I was moved by it, in a way. I certainly don't have negative memories of it, so to speak, but it's not really the kind of book...

A very compelling but nonetheless dark and disturbing book about Alice who has been living with her kidnapper Ray. Ray physically and emotionally abuses Alice. The problem is Alice is getting too old and Ray wants her to pick her replacement so Alice can be free. A fast moving book that wants to b...

This is a stark, brutal, and quick read but not very graphic.Living Dead Girl (LDG) is the most disturbing and upsetting book I've ever read---an honor previously held by Towelhead. LDG is the harrowing story of a 15-year-old girl who was kidnapped by a pedophile when she was just ten-years-old. Ren...

This is a short book, but it's effective. I will never forget this book. It's disturbing but REAL...you know that there are people like Ray out there in this world and that kids like "Alice" having to deal with the pain they inflict. I could not put it down, I wanted to know how it ended...as horrif...

Such a slight book, and so very disturbing. Makes Fowles' [b:The Collector|243705|The Collector|John Fowles|http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41VNA80jB0L._SL75_.jpg|1816452] look like a Disney animated musical. I'm ambivalent about the end, which seemed a bit rushed.

I had high hopes for this one, and it just didn't quite live up. It was still crazy-well done, and definitely compelling, and I couldn't stop reading. But, I don't know. There's nothing--I couldn't relate at all, and it's just so terribly sad. Obviously, I guess.

While on a class field trip Alice is lured away from the group by Ray - a child predator. The minute she starts to walk with him, her life is over. She becomes a shell of a girl. A girl technically alive, but dead on the inside. The story picks up after Alice has lived with Ray for five years. Sh...

I really have no clue how to review this one. Depressing book but I knew that going in. Any story about pedophilia is difficult but usually there's a happy(ish) ending. This one was depressing start to finish. I'm glad the author kept it short because there is no way I could have taken much more...
