Sarah Dessen has a wonderful sense of the teen psyche. Though I was never a teen from a Dessen novel, I went to high school with a lot of them. I do adore her for that. But I don't know if it was this book itself, of if this was merely the book that made me notice it, but Dessen has an affection for...

What happens to a 17-year-old (who mostly takes care of herself anyways) when her mother just doesn't come home? That's the tale that Sarah Dessen tells in Lock & Key, and she does so with grace, humor & power. I always enjoy her books, and this one did not disappoint.

I didn't enjoy this as much as I did with The Truth About Forever. First thing first, it was hard to fall in love with Ruby. Heck, I'm not sure if I even liked her. She's a tough nut to crack, not that I did get everything about her until the end of the story. I didn't. The same goes to Nate too. Ev...

Check out this review on our blog!I am a HUGE Sarah Dessen fan. I can not tell you how much I enjoy reading her books, but I can try. Lock and Key was actually the first Sarah Dessen novel I had ever read. I received a box set of three Sarah Dessen novels for my birthday two years ago, since then I ...

Dessen, Dessen, Dessen! She has managed to do it again! This is like my fourth book by her and all I can say is that she gets it. She knows what a reader wants whether a teenager or a 30 something year old like myself and she delivers exactly that. She gives you family drama and relationship angs...

To be completely honest, I only picked up this book because of the last line of the summary. It really stood out to me and good thing I read the back of the book; otherwise I would have passed right by! This book was so good. There aren’t even words other than so good. The story was moving and reali...
