Lord Johnny is the scourge of Europe and authorities have attempted to hang him twice, but his Devil-May-care attitude has made him a hero to both gentry and rabble. Of course he escapes but not before becoming the groom of an aaristocratic lady who needs to get rid of her debts. The book is written in the late '40s so the isn't any explicit sex and little kissing, but.since it is written by a sailor there is a lot of captivating adventure. Some readers might find some events harsh, such as the captain of a ship being thrown overboard and left to drown during a mutiny. I'd highly recommend this book to anyone who likes swashbuckling adventures and especially to teen and young adult males (Amazon customer)
