My review contains spoilers and they're mostly my thoughts as I went with the book...For me, Lord of Darkness was a tad on the disappointing side. I know I have ridiculously high expectation when it comes to EH’s books, and this was no exception. The installments from Maiden Lane are the most antici...

Godric and Lady Margaret where brought together through unusual circumstances. Pregnant and unmarried, Margaret's brother hastily arranged for Godric to wed his sister so that she would not be involved in a scandal. Godric, a widower, agrees. He's still mourning his wife and has no problem helping a...

My Rating: 3.5 I just love the cover of Lord of Darkness. Who would have ever thought that that particular shade of orange-pink and turquoise could ever go together, match, and end up quite stunning together? I was also quite curious about Lord of Darkness before I read it and was very eager to see ...

I liked the previous books better. Don't get me wrong, it was not a bad book, but it was not as interesting as the previous ones. I didn't feel the connection between h and H so strongly. And the story was luke-warm. I felt like the hero was an older guy without spark. Like his love was all spent on...

★★★☆☆ – Audio Performance★★★★ ½ - Novel (This is a review rant of the audiobook.) Emma Taylor gives a very inconsistent performance and I don’t think she was the right choice for the reading of this wonderful book. I had an inkling I was in trouble when a character was suppose to hiss her words, a...

Elizabeth Hoyt is a master!I love this series & liked this book but this one didn't knock my socks off like the others.Megs feeling like she was dishonoring a man who's dead, really got on my nerves.Almost ruined it for me.

I was intrigued by the premise with a pregnant Megs aka Lady Margaret seeking vengeance on the Ghost of St. Giles who is incidentally her current husband. The teaser from the previous novel with Winter's story had me hooked and I couldn't wait for this novel to come out. So there are several issue...

I've always liked Godric - I am glad he got his own book finally. He is such a sweet hero. And I'm glad Megs was patient and had a great sense of humor. A great read - highly recommended - as are all of Elizabeth Hoyt's novels. I buy everything she writes!

Nope nope nope. The Maiden Lane series has gone on entirely far enough. There's a maddeningly huge set of characters now, I could not keep track of them all, nor could I remember which parts they had played in the past, nor remember their particular story. I've read all the previous books, but my mi...

Elizabeth Hoyt dazzles me yet again with her newest addition to one of the most amazing series I’ve read to date. Lord of Darkness deals with the recuperations we were left last in Thief of Shadows. Picking up two years later, we catch up with Godric St.John who is trying to help out, disguised...
