Took part in the We Give Books read a thon this afternoon. Everyone, everywhere read Otis with the hopes of breaking a record which I do not yet know the results. Did love this story though of a little tractor and a little calf who become best friends. Love the message that sometimes things, in this...

We love this book. The illustrations are powerful, the repetitive words help our kids learn, and the story itself is adorable.

Night Song by Ari Berk, illustrated by Laurel Long: A sweet story of a young bat who flies off into the night, learning to use his echolocation. A nice visual demonstration of the concept, plus a few “Awww” moments.

I was not very certain whether or not my nephew would like Truckery Rhymes. He knows some nursery rhymes, but not *that* many, so I kind of wondered if a lot of the creativity in these reworked rhymes would be lost on him. But he did laugh at the reworkings of the rhymes he was familiar with. He ...

I checked this book out for my nephew who is *a boy*! He likes, trucks, he likes smashing, and crashing, he likes all of those testosterone-fueled loud, messy antics that little boys can get up to. He liked this book. A lot. There was a grin plastered on his face from beginning to end, and he in...
