Not quite sure how I feel about this one. The ending was super cheese and super quick. I find I'm most interested in Assail than anyone else. Not bad, very JR Ward, but not great.

Where the last few books got better with Ward's story about the dangers and wars the Brotherhood were dealing with, this book took a step back, unfortunately.

The machismo overflowing from this book is definitely not my thing, and the romance was mostly powered by a stupid misunderstanding, but the story overall was gripping, and there were lots of interesting characters (what's really weird is that I liked Saxton and Layla, for instance, more than the MC...
