Lucy Garrett doesn't want much this Christmas. In fact, she's only asked Santa for one thing. While the other girls in Lucy's third grade class have asked for dolls and pretty dresses, Lucy's request is much more heart-wrenching. She just wants to spend one more Christmas with her sick father.

Josh Garrett is a 32-year old married father of two children, and he has recently been diagnosed with brain cancer. Oncologists at St. Mary Medical Center don't like the looks of Josh's blood work and CT scans and they fear that the end is near. Then when doctors discover that Josh has an inoperable brain tumor, Josh's fate becomes very clear:
He will lose his fight against cancer.

Will Lucy get her one Christmas wish and get to enjoy one last Christmas with her Dad? Or will life deliver a cold, cruel injustice that will darken the light in young Lucy's soul?
