If you're an Urban Fantasy fan and you don't already own this book, buy it now. It's everything the first book in an Urban Fantasy series should be and more. This is not one of those "Maybe the second book will be better" novels where you sense that the author is finding their way and you feel lik...

★ ★ ★ ☆ 3.5 stars I think that this series might have some potential, even though I didn't really fall in love with this book, it did leave a certain curiosity that will surely push me in reading the next book. Well the book has an interesting plot, that I admit I didn't understand right a...
Audiobook Review: I'm trying to catch up to the numerous UF books I have wanted to try. I decided to finally start the Kate Daniels series. I enjoyed Renée Raudman's narration and now have her firmly in my head for Kate. I will also do the next one on audio because of her narration.I did have some...
I don't think I can adequately explain why I thought this book was just ok. The characters were fine by I never felt connected to any of them. The world wasn't always easy for me to understand and I had to re-read certain paragraphs. I felt no sense of suspense or urgency. It just came across as ho-...
okay...so after finishing Magic Breaks I decided I needed to be in the Kate Daniels World just a bit longer and am going back to re-read/listen to the series

I almost forgot how much I loved these books, just because it's been quite awhile since I originally read them. Sometimes re-reading favorites i...
I am all too often often lukewarm on urban fantasy, especially when it slops over into paranormal romance. When UF is well done, it is highly enjoyable. I enjoyed this. I liked that the heroine, Kate, is sort of a badass, but it isn't repeatedly described over and over. I just sort of came away with that conclusion. I also liked that she made plenty of mistakes and was a smartass, but that also wasn't blatantly thrust in my face over and over. B...
I have read the entire book and I'm still confused about some parts. I like the writing style, but I really feel like some explanation could benefit this book. The author used terms and events like she expects you to know what was going on even though it's fictional. Not a complete waste though.
