These books are going to kill me. Part of my personal reality is a need to take sleeping pills at night and the ones I take pretty much never fail to knock me out as intended. Unless I'm reading certain books; like a Kate Daniels book. I get so lost in the stories and the action my system comple...

So much anger right now. So much. I get the reasoning. I get it. Really. Yeah, no I don't. Kate is a far better and more understanding person than I am. This really was not my favorite in this series, probably for highly irrational reasons. It's probably a sign that you have gotten far to attache...

it ended up better then I thought it would. still a lot of underlying mysogny, but it was tamed some. considering this is a husband/wife authorial team, I think that one of them tempers the other in that regard. at least I'm not so mad that I've decided never to read another one if these books again...

I enjoyed this, as I did the others in the series. It was a gut-wrencher, though. I suspected what Curran was doing and why, but it didn't make it any easier to live through it with Kate. I didn't buy the reason for it and I though Curran wasn't true to his character. Kate can take care of herse...

Yep. That's me today. Hungover, and playing the highlight reel in my head to remind myself that it was totally worth it. I just want to start out by saying that the construction of each of these books is just incredible. I kind of imagine it being something like putting together a 500 piece jigsaw ...

I am all too often often lukewarm on urban fantasy, especially when it slops over into paranormal romance. When UF is well done, it is highly enjoyable. But there is a lot of UF out there, and a lot of it is, to me, interchangeable, derivative, and stale. I've been meaning to read Kate Daniels for...

The first book in a series doesn't have to be a killer to get me invested in the series. As long as it tries hard enough and has enough good ideas, I'm willing to keep going. But eventually, if it doesn't want me to get bored and forget about it, it needs to give me a home run. This one was the ho...
