Raymond Feist is a reliable author of quality Fantasy stories. There is nothing particularly innovative or literary here, but you will be entertained. Magician: Apprentice is the first half of a two-parter; it was Feist's first novel and I think it was one of his best.
My friend in college let me borrow this book. He knew I loved sci-fi/fantasy. This was a great book. I enjoyed it. I liked Pug. Such a minor name for a pivotal player. The world Mr. Feist created is rich with detail. I recommend this book to those who enjoy magic and fae.
