So what does a real man look like in 2017? AS SEEN MANUPBUD.COM I don't know if the answer lies within this book, but it may. "Man Up, Bud!" is a book for young men who find themselves confused--as I once was--about what it means to be a man in modern society. The book features lessons that I think I could have used as a young man, and I feel like many young men today will relate to what I've written. And if some people can't relate they'll surely get a lot of laughs as they read. HAVEN'T YOU ALWAYS WISHED YOU COULD SEND SOME KNOWLEDGE BACK IN TIME TO YOUR FORMER SELF?Well that was exactly the mindset I took as I wrote "Man Up, Bud!" But since time machines haven't been invented (yet) I wrote something that I think will benefit my future son. I've written this book in the most honest, self-deprecating, thought provoking and hilarious way possible. The book is broken up into 60 different lessons, which are divided up into 5 different categories: general lessons, travel lessons, women lessons, money lessons and conflict lessons. Each lesson has a title, a true story, an explanation and a moral. Some of these lessons feature depressed millionaires in Tasmania, wandering ex-convicts in Texas, volcano hiking in Tenerife, marijuana scares in Amsterdam, devastating breakups in England, happiness epiphanies in Brazil, university sex fails, nudist colonies in Gran Canaria, brass knuckled bar stars in Berlin, and near-death experiences in Canada. But what you are responsible for is acting like you know what you’re doing, pretending you have the situation under control, having some array of tools and having a slight knowledge of a few basic things. Nobody expects you to be able to fix an engine, build a house, cut down a tree, divert rainwater and install a washing machine. But—and this is a big but—you need to know how to do some basic things or else other men will laugh at you and woman probably won’t want to have sex with you as much. Here’s a quick list of some things that I believe every man should be able to do. (I can’t do everything here, but give me a break, I’m working on it!). Descriptions will be brief, as YouTube provides great visual tutorials for everything listed below.- Jack up a car and change a tire: Most vehicles come with a spare tire and a small jack. While these small jacks can be a pain in the ass, they can get the job done in a pinch. Loosen the lug nuts on the wheel using a wrench—the longer the wrench, the more leverage you’ll have and the easier this will be. . . . .
