Ms. Crusie is now officially one of my go-to authors whenever I feel like reading purely for comfort. Her books are always very solidly good reads for me. This one was no different. It was sweet and funny and sexy. Not an angsty, teaching life's lessons contemporary, just a nice easy read that l...

Very enjoyable story with a good plot, lots of humor and plenty of fast paced action. I especially liked the up front heroine who knew what she wanted and went after it. Kate develops a plan to find Mr Right and laid back handyman Jake always seems to be rescuing her rejects.

Book club book, review later. But I'll say this much: Probably this is more like 2.5 because I've read much worse, but I'm not sure it deserves 3 stars.

This was not Jennifer Crusie's best effort. It seemed weak throughout, lacking a compelling plot or a truly sympathetic main character. Kate is prickly enough to venture into diva territory, and I find the idea of a woman hunting for a boyfriend/husband pretty repellant. The men seemed to embody at ...

I will try to make this as spoiler-free as possible for the enjoyment of everyone who wants to know my review without having read the book, but probably you already know what happens anyway by just reading the book jacket. Kate is a 35 year old businesswoman/workaholic who wants a man, but not just...

Jennifer Cruise is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her characters are just so lovable (especially Fred).
