Much easier to read and get into than A Tale of Two Cities. I liked the characters and I couldn't put it down towards the end. This book is also reviewed on my blog Books: A true story
Read in college for a mid-level literary criticism class required for my major. I liked it well enough, but Dickens has really never been one of my favorites. I don't have much interest in realism, Victorian or contemporary. I am, however, preparing to re-read this to discover whether I might like i...
I hated this book in HS, but loved it the second time round. It took me about six weeks to read because I've been so busy, but my interest never flagged and it read well despite the slow pace (no surprise there I guess).
