Alcohol and Tobacco take away the lives of millions of Americans each year. Marijuana is responsible for zero deaths a year, yet it is considered a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance in the United States while Alcohol and Tobacco continue to be legally sold and taxed. Thousands of Americans are unjustifiably arrested for Marijuana possession each year; these arrests are not only an injustice to those arrested, but also to the tax payers who essentially pay for Marijuana enforcement. As a Schedule I substance, Marijuana is said to have "no currently accepted medicinal value." This is a contradictory claim by the government as over 20 U.S. states currently have laws that allow sufferers of various conditions to purchase, grow, and use Marijuana. Marijuana legalization will not only eliminate the waste of tax payers money via Marijuana enforcement but it will also create jobs and an increase in tax profits for the government in what will, no doubt, be a booming legal Marijuana industry. This ebook will thoroughly explain how a state-sanctioned Marijuana industry will benefit the nation and its citizens.
