A Book and A Review #2
A Book and A Review #2 rated it 15 years ago
I read this book several years ago and will be honest that I can't remember why I gave it 5 stars. I don't remember it as being very memorable to me..in fact, at this time, I really don't even remember the story line and it wasn't that long ago that I read it.
A Book Addict's Musings by Readinghearts
As in her other book,Belong to Me A Novel, Marisa De Loa Santos builds great characters that you cannot help but admire and love. Her writing style is fantastic and very easy to read. I really hope she continues to write novels and not just poetry. I am really looking forward to reading more from t...

Wow - I felt the writing style in this book was phenomenal. I guess she is a poet by trade, and has only written two novels. I loved the characters she came up with, faulty as they were. All were so full of life and personality. I really enjoyed being a part of their lives. In fact, there wasn'...

"Love Walked In" has a blurb on the cover from Lolly Winston, who wrote "Good Grief." This made me laugh, because "Good Grief" is exactly the book I would compare "Love Walked In" to in a review. It's that sort of chick-lit that you really shouldn't call chick-lit. Romantic fiction, I guess? A smart...

T...

all i can say is i'm so glad to finally be done with this book. i felt like it drug on forever. it had a really good story - but it was way too wordy and detailed for me. so it got boring in spots - and didn't really get good for me until the very end. don't think i'm going to read her other boo...

I'll remember details about these characters long after I've forgotten everything about the plot. And in the end, it's those little pieces of detail that make the characters real and loveable.

I found it hard to get into this book at first but glad I kept reading! I have a soft spot for 'children in crisis' and am always happy when things seem to turn around. I was surprised by the ending, but then again should have seen it coming. I found the book to be great entertainment for a quiet...

I sank into this book with relief--not alot of irony, etc, to muck through--just a good story of three women's lives.
