I'm so sorry but for some reason, this was hard for me to read. I can't tell if it's the era I don't like which I don't. Or the hardcore hardboiled detective vibe but I wanted it to end. I think if its ever on Audibles I be able to get into it. Marshall Thornton can write, there is no doubt about th...
FEMME was funny and still told a story. I loved this ride and my friends know how hard it is for me to find something that does both for me. Lionel is someone I would describe as femme with moxie and not a flake. Dog is beefcake with brains without a clue. When they're together their differences see...

Almost two years ago Marshall Thornton wrote a blog post I Am Not A Romance Writer…I think he needs to re-write it, like: "I am not a romance writer, but I might be wrong..." :)It is not your conventional contemporary romance with a lot of typical sexual tension and a lot of inevitable misunderstan...
I am very happy that Marshall Thornton has a several more Nick Nowack books to write. They deliver a great mix of mystery, character and historical touchstones of the 1980s. There a bit of romance, conflicted and messy as is usual is with Nick. I wouldn't have him any other way.
I think I've just read my favorite book in the series. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE all books in the series, and the book #5 was brilliant, intense, powerful and heartbreaking. I love it immensely, but [b:The Lies That Bind|28405260|The Lies That Bind (Boystown #8)|Marshall Thornton|https://d.gr-asse...
This is written about the early 80's. It really took me there. During the time period, gays weren't accepted and safe sex wasn't a big deal. It isn't romanticized. If you're looking for something romantic or erotic, this probably isn't for you. The mysteries are great. The lead role is real, n...
Holy moly, I'm so sorry it took me so long to pick this up!I have to admit, I had this one sitting on my Kindle for quite some time. I can't even tell you why I was hestitant to pick it up, since I pretty much loved every other book by Marshall Thornton that I read so far.And I love his writing! His...
I needed a good laugh and this book had been sitting there untouched on my TBR for a while. So what the heck, I thought I gave this a try.Cal Parsons was a failed actor down on his luck – his agent didn’t even deign to talk directly to him. He was quite homeless when he got a call that changed his l...
