I'm finding I really enjoy Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I love the humor, I love the relationships, I love the strong men and stronger women. And each character is quirky in their own way. And it's a romance, so you know you'll get your HEA. I haven't read/listened to the rest of the Chicago Stars seri...

Another fun read by SEP. The dialogue is fantastic. No one does funny as well as her. I was sad to see the book end.

In my opinion, the best book she has ever written. Funny, sexy and made me cry and laugh at the same time.

Delightful story, full of cleverly written and humorous dialogue. One of my favorites in the series. Annabelle is a very likeable character, as well as her romantic interest. It was also wonderful to have the network of women so beautifully portrayed in this story, centered around books. Loved how t...

I really liked this book.It starts out with us meeting Annabelle Granger, a firecracker of a woman who is frowned upon in her family. She's the "black cat" of her family. She's got 2 successful brothers and a mother who nags the ever living daylights out of her because she's 31 and hasn't settled do...

I started out listening to this as an audiobook and was finding it kind of so-so. Then my files got corrupted and I switched to reading it about halfway though. That improved it a bit, especially because the character of Bodie was given such a flat, awful voice, I couldn't stand listening to his sce...

As is often the case with this author, I felt that her male romantic lead was practically abusive. However, I did like Annabelle and wanted her to succeed -- if this had been the story of her succeeding in her matchmaking business instead of the account of how she ended up with a rich and domineerin...

My first contemporary romance by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I had heard several reviews about her being hilarious. Definitely so. This book is about Heath a sports agent who has decided it is time to get married. He ends up hiring two match makers and meets several women. The antics and relationships...
