I grew up watching the movie many times but never actually read the book. I'm definitely glad I did! It is a great audio book too. I already put the BFG on hold at the library as I want to re-read it as well as Dahl's other books. Matilda lives with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wormwood and her older...

Another of Ronald Dahl's classics, Matilda is a wonderful book to bring imagination and magic to the classroom. I would use this text to teach the importance of good character. I could use a variety of different activities including a compare and contrast between characters (Ms. Honey and Ms. Trunch...

Matilda, is a book full of magic and adventure. It is perfect for peeking children's curiosity. The book also deals with some heavy home-life issues like many children face these days. I would use this as a possible literature circle book and also as a choice from the classroom library in the upper ...

Matilda is a book about an extraordinary little girl who lives with an incredibly neglectful and selfish family who could care less about her existence. Despite Matilda's horrendous upbringing, she manages to find solace at school among her peers and her good-hearted teacher, Ms. Honey. Her trouble'...

Matilda is one of my FAVORITE movies ever! I have not read the book, but since I found out there is one, I'm currently running out the door to go read it. This would be a great read aloud or small group. It is about a young girl who has a tough home life and has to go to school to deal with the wors...

Growing up, I always loved to read. This book was something that I continuously came back to. It is a really cute, and creative story about a little girl who stands up to her terrible parents and principal. I think this book would be really great to read aloud to the class while they are in some kin...

Love this one!! This is a book that was also made into an awesome movie. It's about a young girl named Matilda who has a hard time at home dealing with her parents and not really feeling loved. She goes to school so excited expecting it to be THE best experience…that is until she meets the mean prin...

Matilda is another classic to me. She's another strong female character as she deals with her life at home and The Trunchbull at school. Every future teacher wants to be Ms. Honey right? I know I do. Even though Matilda is a girl, I think this would be a good read aloud to a whole class or in small ...

this is a very moving book, yet funny at the same time. it would be incredible if a person like Matilda was alive. i definitely feel sorry for her when she has to deal with Mrs.Trunchbull and her "paybacks" are hilarious! i would definitely recommend this book.

It was amazing book. I think that Mrs Trunchbull is the meanest person in the book. Matilda is very very sweet and so is Mrs Honey. I was happy to finely get to the book. I was very sad about something in the book it was that her parents and brother are very mean to her. But one thing I liked a lot ...
