I think I enjoyed this more than I enjoyed the second book (the first is still my favourite), but I felt a little bit like I got the abridged version. I would have liked more of it, especially the bits with the holy grail. Still, now that I've finished them all, I have a tremendous appreciation for ...

As with any book of short stories, I liked some more than I liked others, but in general it's a very strong collection with a number of standout pieces.

This is urban fantasy with a heavy emphasis on "urban"-the official description is "The Wire meets Excalibur" which is true in all of the best ways. King Arthur played out between rival drug dealers on the streets of Indianapolis, magic and mythic elements included. It's kind of glorious, with some ...

I bought this for Jennifer Pelland's Nebula-nominated short story "Ghosts of New York," but I'm finding it a strong anthology overall thus far. After a poem, "Ghosts of New York" leads the anthology with a discomfiting story of the ghost of a woman who jumped from the North Tower on Sept. 11, 2001, a...
