The culinary parts of this book and the circle of cooking class friends are worth a five-star rating, but the middle school-style snobs vs. eccentrics suspense elements to the plot were tedious and incredibly annoying.

Really cute chick-lit/contemporary romance story. The heroine is a bit too passive and willing to sacrifice herself for love, but I liked it a lot. The first chapter broke my heart, and it sets her character perfectly.
