This story was okay but got into so many horse racing details that I started skimming. The plot was interesting but the amount of bad things happening was a bit too much and stretched belief. Kelsey learns her mother is alive and visits her mothers horse farm where she meets neighbor Gabe.

I can understand why a child would be told their parent is dead when they are really in jail. This was a new twist from Ms. Roberts. It was just okay. I didn't really get into it.
