I thought I would enjoy some pulp crime stories from the master himself. It turns out that Mike Hammer is just too over the top and not likeable at all.

Meh. I know it is a pulp novel, but come-on.
This is the first "grown-up" mystery I read when I was growing up. My grandpa gave me a copy of it when I was about 10 and I was hooked for good!!
