I couldn't get into this book. It was mostly characters thoughts which were rather melodramatic. After a quarter of the way through, I jumped ahead reading a few pages here and there that had the same style so gave up. Ex-Navy John rents office space from Suzanne and wants to have sex with her.
This series has been on my TBR for a long time. I had high hopes based on the blurb...Sadly, those hopes were dashed. I love a good alpha hero, but John Huntington was just too much for me; a hardened, brash man's man, soldier, warrior with very little social skills and no sense of romance/softness....
My least favorite of the series. John was just too much of a sex addict to make me believe it was love instead of love on his part:(
The hero is an asshat and the heroine a perfect dishrag. I stopped reading at 22%.
Reminded me of another trilogy I enjoyed.
