Budd Hopkins, with the help of psychologist Aphrodite Clamar and other doctors, has investigated in depth nineteen cases of UFO abductions over the past five years. These include two registered nurses, a golf pro, a Wall Street executive, a painter, a newsmedia writer, a retired public school principal, an insurance underwriter, and a college instructor. People from America and abroad, without knowledge of each other and, before being put under hypnosis, without any recollection of the actual abductions! (Some have consciously remembered seeing the UFOs but none has remembered being taken aboard.)
Mr. Hopkins writes at length about seven of the cases. Enough similarities exist in the reports (about 80 percent of the details are identical in all the experiences) to make coincidence impossible. These individuals are not kooks or madmen; they are average people. Questions arise as to why each of them has a small scar on his or her body, and why, when asked to draw the creatures they had seen, the results were astonishingly alike.
