Katniss Everdeen, the girl on fire...This was the girl who always kept Snow on the edge of his seat. This was the girl who became the Mockingjay and gave the Districts a new hope. This was the girl who ignited the rebellion against the corrupt and unjust Capitol. This was the girl who sacrificed her...
Like many books in a series, this last book wraps up a lot of different items and has a somewhat predictable ending. I enjoyed the second book much more than this one. The best part of the book was when they were being chased underground and then in the Capital.
What an interesting mess this book turned out to be. It makes one wonder: if this was the final product, what condition was the story in when it crossed her editor's desk? Several problems mar the final book in the series including the introduction of several characters the reader has little interes...
As much as I enjoyed the other books and the beginning of Mockingjay, I found the end to be rather disappointing. After reading a mixed bag of reviews, I knew someone
died
but it was sort of wanting to know how it happened and what was the aftermath. It was...disappointing.It ...
I read this whole series pretty quickly. I really enjoyed the books and, so far, the movies. This book was really engrossing. I was glad to see so much of the story tied up throughout the book. There were some things happening that surprised me. I thought the story arc was realistic under the d...
The final chapter of The Hunger Games doesn't hold anything back. Katniss doesn't understand why she is alive and hiding out in District 13 while Peeta is held captive by the Capital. The small underground rebellion that has been slowly building has only needed a figure head - and they have just the...
This is the book I think that should have been the second book. It is just what I thought the second was going to be about. My favorite character was missing most of the book, Peeta. Katniss isn’t my favorite but she is interesting. I find it funny that everyone she knows knows her better than s...
It was a good book. Don't get me wrong though, it did not pull me into the world as much as the last two. I think it partly had to do with Katniss, partly with the story line. To keep my review specific spoiler free, I will go into some over arching, broad statements.I don't see how she could have e...
I pre-ordered Mockingjay a long time before it was actually released, and a friend of mine, who also wanted to read it straight after it hit the shelves, was disappointed as all copies in our city has been reserved and new books took weeks to arrive. I think this shows just how much we all were lo...
