I have read this book and seen the film so many times I can almost quote it. I can't imagine living with someone who was so unstable, and all you wanted was for her to love you!

Maybe this should really get 5 stars. No other books I can think of, except maybe The Way I See It, by Patti Davis, elicited such perfectly realized voyeuristic distaste.
