I've spent the better part of two years trying to get through this book on and off, but I'm giving up at page 246 and after skipping ahead to the epilogue. It's so incredibly boring. Don't bother.
Compared to the complete flop that is the last book I've read, this was a wonderful book. The plot was engaging, very visual descriptions of the events, and it had a very sci-fi feel to it. I usually enjoy Peretti's books. This was no exception, even though it's very different from his other books. It started out a bit like "The Oath" but quickly changed directions.
