The children don't actually get eaten.
Loved this book, just not sure I'd read it to my niece's since it's all about monsters coming to eat kids and all. But, I did love it! Full review to follow soon.

Oh, this made me laugh. It's like one of those stories that you tell, off the cuff, to disbelieving children because you're feeling a bit churlish and out-of-sorts but then you wind up enjoying the story too much and it becomes fun. And for all you whiny children out there - monsters WILL try to eat...
