Original Publication Year: 2011 Genre(s): Urban Fantasy Series: Peter Grant #2, Book 1 Review Awards: None Format: Audio (from Audible) Narrated by: Kobna Holdbrook-Smith This was a series that I read last year that convinced me that I actually do enjoy Urban Fantasy. This is the second book in the books about DC Peter Grant and as such, this review may contain certain spoilers for book one, Rivers of London. That's the book you want to start with. Something is killing jazz musicians in Soho. A promising jazz saxophonist, Cyrus Wilkinson, drops dead of an appa...

Hate US cover. It's really bugging me. Heh. the book was good, but did seem somewhat similar to book 1. Concerned he has a formula. Will see how I go with book three, but it's not looking good. I do think they're well worth trying though.

Very good second installment in the Rivers of London series as Peter continues his magical training and things go awry, as per usual.

Another fantastic story. So much detail I feel I've missed and could pick up by listening to this again in future

S...

There's a lot to like about it - mainly the things I liked about the first one: it's funny, it's well written, it's not afraid to push into proper wincey nyerk territory (I actually had to stop read...

Carrying on the adventures of Constable Peter Grant as he investigates more mysterious goings on in London. The characters have grown since the first book in this series, and come across as believable.Good plot and action, still with the same deadpan humour.

I had really enjoyed reading the first book of this series, Rivers of London (also known as Midnight Riot), so I was obviously also very curious to this second book, Moon over Soho. Unfortunately I didn't like it as much as I liked the first book. Perhaps it was because I don't know enough about J...
