I picked this book up because from the title alone I assumed it was a fun and quirky read. I mean, a 24-hour bookstore, and someone named Mr. Penumbra? I was entirely correct--the best words to describe the book are ‘cute’ and ‘quirky’. Read the rest of my review and more at BibliobibuliYA.com

This was just lovely! I loved the characters, the pacing of the story. I was tempted to race through it, but I didn't feel like I HAD to just to get to the end. I loved the mystery of the whole story; it was intriguing and kept me interested without being overdone. I enjoyed going on the adventure ...

From the title I knew this was a book I would eventually read and I finally did. For a book three years old, it already comes off as dated. It is a quick read, but I can't say I was a big fan. When it comes to the paper v. ebook debate, I love both and will never choose and this book felt biased, ...

The title appealed and what's not to like about a mystery in a bookstore, so I downloaded it from audible.com It is a unique book: a quirky, slightly dizzying, overlaying of Google-led West Coast Techie culture; a centuries...

This was an odd book, I must say. I didn't feel as if it got going much before the last third. The first two thirds were basically set up for us to get to know the characters and all their 21st century quirks. I kept wanting something... anything to happen. Anything other than more puzzlement. ...
