Really good romantic suspense with an assertive heroine, hot love story, secondary romances, very exciting ending all sprinkled with humor. Jaine and her girlfriends come up with qualities of Mr Perfect that goes public and her neighbor cop Sam helps when things turn deadly.
4.5 stars.My first from this author and will not be my last.Such an unexpected treasure. I started reading this book because I was in the mood for a contemporary romance novel and this book was listed and ranked highly in the genre. What I didn't expect was the suspense and mystery. Bravissmo.
Another keeper by Linda Howard. This book just swept me away between the great murder/suspense plot and the hotter than Hades romance between Jaine Bright and her swoon worthy neighbor Sam Donovan.

Probably 3.5*s but with all the hype I was expecting more. I liked the hero and heroine both alone and together. When they were bantering the book was really fun. But the suspense was weak. I guessed both the killer and the first victim from the first time those characters appeared in the story....
