Oh my goodness... how does one write a review for a piece of text so bursting at the seams with all sorts of goodies as this novel is? On the surface, it appears to be a boring little account of a boring woman getting ready for throwing a boring snobbish party at the end of the depicted day, with ...

I enjoyed this book immensely. And though I must have read it before (in high-school), I didn't remember anything about it. The book follows Clarissa Dalloway on the day she is having a party, so there is not really a story. It is all about her thoughts, and about the people round her or with whom ...

Nothing wrong with the book, just not my cup of tea. I usually love English books but I guess this one isn't it...I might pick it up someday, who knows.

So much of Mrs. Dalloway felt inevitable to me. Not predictable. Inevitable. Quite impressive, I must say. Dalloway and Septimus are interwoven nicely, and the general feelings described in the book are complex and challenging.

The first time I read Mrs Dalloway I didn't really understand what it was about and what was so special about it. I gave one star and said I'd never read it again!I re-read it. I changed my mind. Or maybe I was finally ready. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I now have a better understa...
