Series: The Others #2 It’s interesting to go back and look at what I wrote about the first book in the series, Written in Red. If I may quote myself, one my comments about the next book in the series was, “I’m hoping that the writing will have smoothed out so that I can have a more immersive book...
This book. THIS BOOK. You guys, I seriously can't even. It took a re-read for me to be able to form enough words to write a review about it. And even then, I'm not sure this is going to be coherent. This book starts with a bang, with things developing in my ship--and then coming to a sudden halt. It ...
I immediately jumped into Murder of Crows right after I finished Written in Red because I couldn't help myself to depart from Simon, Meg, and the rest of the characters. I loved that this one introduced more -- characters like the Intuits, the human with intuition, from which cassandra sangue first ...
"Could a few humans keep a city balanced enough to avoid a serious fight when the rest of the humans seem to want to start trouble that would end with many of them dying? Or would these ordinary humans who wanted to live in harmony with the Terra Indigene become the next group who was persecuted by ...
I loved "Written in Red" so much that I broke my own rule about not spending over $10 on an ebook. "Murder of Crows" is quite violent, vividly so, but consistent with the world introduced in "Written in Red" so the violence didn't feel gratuitous. It was, however, probably as violent as I care to re...
While reading this Daesh attacked Paris, fundamentalists attacked people for being different to them, it was interesting to see Anne Bishop show how exclusion of moderates can happen so easily the echoes were interesting.Meg discovers more about herself and her abilities and what her blood can do. ...
I was a little meh about some of the relationship aspects in this book, but I'm really glad they didn't rush it. Meg and Simon have a unique relationship based on their past, personalities and beliefs. It makes this relationship wonderful and special, not something to be rushed, nor did Bishop try t...
“A Murder of Crows” continues on directly from “Written In Red” which told the tale of Meg Corbyn a cassandra sangue, on the run from The Controller who had held her, and others of her kind, prisoner to exploit her ability to see the future when her skin is cut. Meg took refuge in The Courtyard, hom...
Fantastic books. This has become one of my favorite series. I usually don't like long drawn out romances but I do love it in this series for some reason. I love the world this author built, doesn't need long drawn out descriptions but is complex in its own way. I would recommend this series!
This book revolves around the uprising of conflict between the Others and humans. The only thing I am going to say is that I regretted that I had to go to sleep without completing this book. Plot-5* Cast-4* Writing-4.5* Alpha Female rating-4*
