Not my favorite Christie. The murder plot seemed overly convoluted and I kept zoning out on the narration. I've liked other Christies narrated by Hugh Fraser so I think it was the plot I was zoning out on. Anyway, as others have said if you're interested in Christie but haven't read anything yet,...
In this second Hercule Poirot story, Poirot is moaning that crime isn't what it used to be, criminals are no longer worthy of this investigative prowess. Luckily, that very same day a letter arrives requesting his help in France. Paul Renauld is in fear of his life and wishes to engage Poirot. It's ...
This is an early Hercule Poirot novel and as such, the recurring characters are not developed as completely as they are in later novels. Poirot is not as lovably quirky and Hastings is a bit more of lady-chasing dolt than in later books. That being said, this is a fair Hercule Poirot mystery, complet...

We see the future Hasting's wife which it's good but the plot it's as all books one you couldn't figure it out. Well this one was the easieast but even there it was a di...
You can't really go wrong with Agatha Christie, although I must admit to finding Hastings rather annoying. Hugh Fraser is a pretty good reader, though.
