A most self-sabotaging heroine, not to my taste. Vivid characters, good romantic ending, I liked the minor characters better, Miss Elliott and Matthew, the Earl of Randolph. Dr. John Blackmore is an excellent romantic lead, handsome, charming, and a bit single-minded.
